BEFORE YOU SCROLL DOWN AND SEE THE PUPPIES...REMEMBER TO NOT JUST FALL FOR SPOTS.
Ok, we know you want to see the puppies...and we admit they are awfully cute. Remember that each one's personality is as unique as their spot pattern...while some pups in a particular litter may have similar personalities to each other...others pups in the same litter may be very different. Make sure you keep in mind that a picture of a puppy isn't the whole story...select a puppy that will fit your family based on temperament. It's a lifetime commitment and pups have more going on with their personality than just their looks. DON'T JUDGE A PUPPY BASED ON SPOTS!
A FEW IMPORTANT WORDS ABOUT OUR LUA DALMATIANS
For a quick history and information about LUA (Low Uric Acid) Dalmatians and the Backcross Project click HERE.
For those wanting a more in-depth explanation and scientific study about Hyperuricosuria (bladder stones) in Dalmatians and the LUA Backcross Project that allowed for the identification of the LUA (Low Uric Acid) v. HUA (High Uric Acid) gene via DNA testing click HERE.
Remember that in order to protect the size and quality of the Dalmatian breed gene pool we work with both LUA and HUA Dalmatian genetic lines. You can read more about the reasons for this in my blog post "Gene Pool to Gene Puddle" .
IF you think you might want your puppy to be a LUA Dalmatian make sure you discuss that during your Scheduled Puppy Interview in Step 5 of our Application Process.
For those of you that already know you want your puppy to be LUA make sure that in addition to discussing that during your interview make sure that you mark "LUA" on your Puppy Description in Step 6 of our Application Process.
